  • Pontoon Trailer Tires

Looking for recommendations on 4 new 20.5-8x10 tires. They will be used infrequently to pull 24 ft pontoon. Pontoon stays in boathouse. Trailer used for maintenance and 200 miles or less road trip.

I know a fair amount about tires but not very much in the smaller 10” sizes.
Probably a Carlisle in the highest ply rating I could find if it were me.
    Sorry, best I got

Bought some 14 inch Carlisle's last year, so far have been pleased.

Those are donut tires, very high capacity for the size, 80-90 psi.
My Mom has them for her 20ft pontoon boat.

I ordered 4 Carlisle 12 ply from EBay. They arrived today. Look like they will last a while!

What's the psi and load rating, like 90 psi @ 1100lbs example.
Funny looking tires but they work.

The rating is [email protected] 105 psi. Probably overkill but some really stout tires.

On a trailer, especially a boat trailer, that gets dunked in and out of water, there is no such thing as overkill. You did good!!

Like Joey said, I believe in a certain amount of overkill, just uprated my tires from C to D and capacity improved 300 lbs a tire over!
I repack-knockout my bearings every other year, I like to know it's done right, replace tires every 3 years as well!
                        Good luck!
