  • Prop Newbie Help Needed- ActionCraft Costal Bay 2310

Have an ActionCraft Coastal Bay 24. Has 300 hp Yamaha. At WOT I am getting 5800 rpms and about 48 MPH. Been told I have the wrong prop and wrong nut (was told specific nut for Yamaha). Appreciate any prop recommendations or any input. Thank you in advance. I added photos of current prop below.

your prop is a turning point 14 1/4 x 19, it will fit any motor you want it to with the correct hub kit.
I dont' deal with Turning point hubs, much, but it looks like every other Turning point hub.

Kinda looks like 700 series for yamaha to me.

Prop nut looks like the normal brass castle nut, I don't think anything is wrong with your setup.

Thank you Ken, appreciate your input. Is there a 3 or 4 Blade prop you would recommend over the Turning Point prop?

17 pitch Quicksilver Q4 would be my bet if you wanted stronger acceleration, and it normally does very well with jackplates.
probably run just as fast, you might even pick up a couple MPH.

          I'm assuming this is a Yamaha F300
