  • How Can You Become a BoB Expert?

The purpose of BoB is to provide a place for industry experts to give good advice without the "noise" associated with other sites, and a friendly environment for boaters and fisherman to exchange ideas and discuss the hobby we all love. What makes BoB unique is that we are not influenced by money. BoB Experts have a genuine interest in helping fellow boaters. Any bonafide expert in the industry is welcomed to join us. It is simple really, just register on the site and start answering questions. Getting "BoB Expert" status is an informal process where you are basically voted in by your peers. If other BoB Experts notice you are showing an interest in answering questions, providing valuable content, and being a good general steward of the industry then we will ask you if you want to become a BoB Expert. To qualify you must make your living in the boat industry. While you can be voted in as an Expert you can just as easily be voted out. So please be on your best behavior and have the best interest of the boaters in mind.

That's it! We encourage all industry professionals to join us! Click image for larger version

I wish to suggest the addition of Mark Mowl, [email protected], Design59 , as a BOB expert.
Mark is a seasoned factory customer service manager and a wealth of knowledge

Just a suggestion, how about listing some background qualifications with each expert. I looked at the Prop God and got an e-mail address, it would be nice to read Expert "X" has 16 years as manager of D&D props SW Fl., or something like that.

        Good point.
The other Bio's are there, not sure why Ken's did not make it.
I will speak to the higher ups and get it rectified. :-)

I'd like to suggest me, as a general know it all and swell guy.....also although I don't make my money in boating or fishing...I do spend a lot of money on boating and fishing...so in essence I support the community rather than take something from it.....
          That is all...
          Lol

Edit...I also have a tow boat U.S. baseball cap and a red Yamaha baseball cap that was rudely sent to me by some ole geezer here on the forums....they make me look very professional....in case that factors into the "voting" process.

I suggest that Jethro01 be appointed an expert and that we try and recruit Seahorse (from Etec owners' group and THT) as an expert. Jethro must own every Yamaha Service Manual ever printed and has been of immense help to many over the years - his expertise should be acknowledged here. Seahorse is one of the most knowledgeable people around regarding Evinrudes - we need an Etec guy on the panel.

I avoided the Expert invite while I was job hunting, but now that I'm firmly entrenched in my new gig - but if the invite is still open I'm ready and willing.

As for Jedro, he is here, albeit quietly.
Just need to get him and SeaHorse to play nicely. Maybe I am getting SeaHorse confused with Whaler27.
                Mark, that can be achieved.
What would you like to be special in?

Rude and insulting comment. I made a joke about disabled people rolling down wheelchair ramps.

I got a point from Mod 11, for asking a "widow" for a picture.
Somebody in Hawaii, whom I swore was a troll, was asking about selling a boat.
I interfered that we needed pictures. Mod 11 was not impressed.
