  • "Check Engine"

2006 F250 with about 1300 hours. Runs great, but I get a check engine message flashing on the guage. The temp, oil and charge are all in the middle of the graph when I look. The engines checked out fine at the 1000 hour service.

    Any ideas?

Can you take a picture of the gauge with the Icon flashing?

I'll bet it's an oxygen sensor........

You can buy an ODB gauge for next to nothing to read the engine code.

Does that F250 have an oxygen sensor? Wonder what the exact model number might be?

That is why I am asking what gauge is there.
First off, Command Link official came out in 07', those gauges can tell you which code.
A multifunction guage, I'm not sure has a "check engine" light.
An F250 has no oxygen sensor, that is the OX66 and HPDI.

That doesn't sound like a multifunction gauge....

I'll try to display the errors the multifunction square display has recorded.
I will fish Friday so I may be able to induce the flashing message on the starboard engine. Only one engine is displaying the message, seems to show up after running hard, but again, all the temp indicators are in the middle of the graph.
