  • Flush Tilt Trim on 2006 F250

I changed my trim seals today, the fluid was emulsified, milky crap. I'm not sure if I got all the fluid out. I used a vacuum pump to get the fluid from where I pulled the rams.

Any writeups on completely draining and flushing the fluid?

Also, I did not take out the tilt ram as I could not find a good you tube video on that. Is it a DIY procedure?

There were a couple videos on the marinetechtools website. Can’t remember if they showed removal of the tilt ram. There is a trick to separating the piston from ram. Luckydog, member here, has done it

At this point I'll watch for more symptoms. The fluid may have been aerated, making it look milky. My way to lift the engine.
