  • Small hole in upholstery

So, fishing Thursday one of my "buddies" stuck a hook in the port side bench. I pulled it out (should have cut off the barb but did not). I now have a small hole where I took out the hook. Any suggestions on how to repair this now so that it does not become worse.

Well. TOS would advise to retain a lawyer and sue for a new boat. I have a good cushion lady here. But that would not help you. Bet there are more than a few nearby in FL. White I hope?

Google "Vinyl repair kits". You'll find lots of options. I have no idea which ones work best though.

Explain pink mold and demand New cushions?
What Sailfish said, good news is your boat and outboards are officially broken in.

Have heard people say shoe goo or goop (what ever it is). It is made to glue tennis shoe soles back on.

            Do it Yourself!

            you only need these things:-

            Sewing needles
            Upholstery needles
            Fabric adhesive
            Upholstery thread
            Iron on patches
            Upholstery tacks
            Hammer
            Scissors
            Iron

you can fix this quite easily. First, trim away the edges of the hole with a pair of scissors then insert an iron-on patch into the hole with the adhesive side up

I had a tan colored vinyl seat that got a hole in it, I bought almond colored silicone caulk and squirted a little bit into the hole and then smoothed the surface and if you didn't know it was there you would not notice it. I have tried vinyl repair kits in the past and I have never been able to do a good job with the stuff. It doesn't hold it's color for very long.
