  • Great Harbor Cay, Bahamas

Did a little trip to GRC, Bahamas. Left and wind was E10-15, GS wasn't bad 3 hrs to Bimini, then 4.5 hrs across the bank, started out choppy and got worse, short and steep.
Great Harbor is a nice place, good lobster and large conch, didn't catch any fish, wind blew the whole trip.
Carriearl is a nice little 4 room resort, great food, nice people. All of GHC had nice people. Marina was nice, safe, $2 per foot, good water pressure, good clean restrooms and showers.
Dragging a trip engine boat around the islands and cuts keeps you on your toe's. Ran with two and trimmed center up a fair bit around the backside.
Trip home was sloppy, winds NEtoE 15 knots, last part of GS was a P.I.T.A.
    360nm miles, 360 gals.

Yea, I don't feel so bad on the economy on my submarine, honest 1 mpg with some 1.2 - 1.3.
This Aircraft carrier I brought back yesterday was .8 - .9. at 32 knts.
              What a day though, figures------.
One little storm off Great Sale.

Ole looks like a regular old pirate in that cigar pic. The real question? Who took the picture??? And what is she wearing?

Valla wants an island trip next time.
Showed her your trip pics and also pics of where Mike hangs out.
She said “Ole is so funny” and I said “funny-humorous or funny looking” hahaha!! Humorous of course!

GHC is easy to get to. Tropic Ocean flys direct from Ft. Laud.
Not much to do there without a bote. Takes One (1) day to see the island.
It's my new place though, lots of cays to explore, not crowded and the people are nice. And if the weather is good, not a far jump from Ft Laud.
Has a nice little pool bar at the Marina that needs new life.
