I know it's a hole I wish was filled, an F130 would be a sweet engine here.
Why so, I don't see the need.

Depends on the weight? Is it a 4 cylinder or 3? I have no idea....

            It"s a fair size hole from a 115 to a 150.
The 130 fits in there nicely.

Shhhhhhhhh! We don't want him getting the big head. It might freeze and stay that way till Spring. His wife would have to put up with him.

There is a remedy for that.

I was hoping for something in the larger HP, but sales wise, I think the mid range motors are huge sellers for Yamaha. The large HP gets a lot of news and talk though. Last year they randomly introduced the new F25C, which is a pretty sweet little EFI engine. So who knows.

                      I'm sure it's a 4, I have the F115 and it's a 4. Even the 90 is a 4.

Maybe it's an emissions thing? If it's based on the 115 maybe the tune hurts a little too much for California?

Totally speculation, but that really seems like a motor that would sell well as long as it is close to 115 weight vs 150 weight.

I'm betting I'm the only one hear that rolls with the jet crowd, but that 130 added to their factory jet line would probably be a huge seller (speaking only in jet sales). That would make it a 130/90 jet and would fill the niche out there for 90-100 Hp max hulls. G3 boats, a Yamaha company would be sticking it on many/most of their offerings I'd think.

You might be on to something, Texas17. I'm pretty impressed with the spec of this model tbh.

SIM, I've read that looking to repower with Yamaha 250 or 300's is a lost cause for the short term due to a shortage. It was speculated that supply issues or problems in production might be the problem. Can you comment on the unavailability of these engines?

There are engines around, just need to know where to look.
