At least they were playin’ their jam while they recorded that short. Lovely shade of orange in the water too.

and apparently there was some deck cargo that washed off and is now drifting west in the NW Providence Channel towards Lucaya/Freeport.

There was a statement released by some Bahamian Govt. entity declaring that they had the leaking oil/fuel spill contained with "deployed booms" - yeah right, Hole in the Wall is the open Atlantic Ocean and some of the past week's days probably had 15' swells and waves in that location......(which is pretty far from anyplace you could stage a Bahamian salvage operation). It is on the bottom in an area with huge rocky reefs and bottom contours.

She sure looks like she sunk flat and shallow, begs the question, why so close?

Is it on the shallow part of HIW or did it sink and roll off the edge? I’m going to be fishing out of Spanish wells next week for a whole week so I’m sure we will end up there at some stage.

The picture I saw last week had the lat long, and at that time it was up on the shallow part, about 1/3 of the way from the SE tip of the shoal towards the actual light location on land. You'd normally not get up there in 50' of water, which is where it was sitting on the bottom but you would certainly be very close to it if you were wahoo fishing. I measured about 2.2 miles off the land, I think that underwater point sticks out about 4.0 nm.
