Keys weather October

Flying one way into Key West October 14. We will drive back to Louisiana so that we can tour the state. We want to fish offshore in Key West for a day and maybe back country fish for a day somewhere along the way home. My questions are, besides Hurricanes, how’s the weather and how’s the fishing at that time of year?

Wahoo and Tarpon are supposed to be good in Oct. Maybe catch the tail end of Mahi migration also.
