  • Back up at FWC PB, the place where this all started, was thinking of timing when I was there, this all started in July 2020, and this was my qualifying card at 100 yards.

Then today I was plinking with Torri/tizzle with the .22LR
Funny how different rounds work differently.

Money no object, a Sako TRG 42 (Not the folding stock) 26" Barrel with Sako BiPod and a NightForce ATARC 7-35 scope.
I have a Ruger RPR .300wm, it gets the job done, but it's no Sako.

        • Did a little steel challenge match this weekend...had a blast, but I’ve got a lot of practice ahead of me. I learned those plates can get REALLY small at distance, these folks have some amazing guns, and something happens inside of you when hear the beep! I shot Production and Rimfire rifle with iron sights.

Nice job bud! You’re exactly right, but there’s something extra fun about plinking with a 22 LR!

                  • The more and more I work with pew pews, clean them, shoot them, buy products for them, I have come to the conclusion that guns owners are a) Fishermen, b) Bad at math, c) liars.
I have bought three guns used. All were "safe queens", used only "xyz ammo", have less "than 100 rnds" down the tube.
                    Yea. Right.
I have shot some of mine many more rounds than that cleaned them and NEVER had the chambers/bolts look as bad as the ones I bought used.
And they still want retail for the things.
I need to up my "salesmanship".

                      Very well, very well.
As with all things there is give and take, size, weight, maintenance, etc.
But yea, they are cool and do their job. (If you get the right one).

                      • Shot a match at TradeCraft yesterday my fifth match. Came in 24th out of 40. Considering my first match was in Feb and that was a last out of 54. Still can do better.
New elements in this match heat, so I had my umbrella set up, and mosquitoes on the ankles, BIG cow mosquitoes. Bastids could bite.

That is the BEST thing you can do, to try different bullet weights/designs and ammo brands! Good on you! And I got lucky ... for one of my MSRs loves the cheap Tula 5.56mm ammo, albeit cheap (or at least it WAS!) and steel-cased.

                            Nice shooting.
Sorry I wasn't to talkative. I was stressing out. And that place was busy.
The handgun side was interesting also.
But. We made it through and no one got hurt.
                            Interesting day.
