    And, just to clarify for those that don't know.
    Bench Rest shooting is like the drag racing of Shooting.
    ONE (1) gun and a set of specialized tools for one type of shooting.
    25 shots at a 5" round "gong" at 600 yrds (actually 620).
    He/she (there are no she's Yet in my group). with the most hits wins, or the longest string.
    My firsts outing I did 2 out of 25 with a .308 (wrong tool for the job). This time I brought a 6.5cm, still not the Correct, correct tool, but better.
    People spend $$$$$$$$ getting their "rig" right. I like a multiuse gun.
    12 wasn't bad. 20 shooters, I was probably in the middle maybe?

    it's actually Vet Wrap. originally to wrap bandages on horse's legs. it sticks to itself. he has scope wrapped to protect it. he has dive weights under the wrap on the stock. protected and not budging.

    i think pink would work well. would be no confusing it with any other guns at the events

    I have seen people use it to be able to grip the scope better, for adjustment..

    One year since I started this thread.
    My second bench match.
    25 rnds.
    10 shots so far 3 hits and I am ahead of where I was in Feb.
    AND, the youngest guy here. HeLLO west Florida.

    I have been doing 5 shots, the switch ammo, yet still aim at basically same spot. Amazing the drops dif ammo have.
    today i just stuck with one type and worked scope to ammo. Did better when i did the 5 shots relatively quickly
