A question to guys in "FREE" or "Freeer" states, do you need to present your gun permit(s) in order to buy ammo at the sporting goods store? Or do you just walk in and ask for 2 boxes of X type, pay and walk out?

Did 100 yrds today. Bit cool and windy.
played with 22 first then borrowed 223 with red dot. Dot good for hitting approximately at that distance. Specially when dot takes up 2-3 rings of target.
    left is 223, right 22

Ennngh. Maybe. But. They were SFP and high power. Like 50. So only really worth it when in a vise.

These folks, they are retired. And what they do in retirement is shoot, and argue about shooting. So, they have nothing better to do than tinker with these guns, and they do it well.
The big fella an me were rookies and got our asses handed to us for that.
Shooting LD is one thing. Hitting a 6" gong at 600 yards with wind and mirage, the most times out of 25 is something else.
    Consistancy and precision.

That also has to do with the Ruger 10/22.
A bolt rimfire will not have the blowback.
