The Ex-Mayor stopped in yesterday, he carries.
    We chatted about guns.
    He recommended this. Damn.

I would check barrel length. Some states have laws stating a shotgun barrel can't be too short. Not sure what the legal dimensions are here in Delaware but I know you can't own a "sawed off" shotgun.

          Tacti-cool.

I have shot quite a lot of various weapons over the years, including numerous "modern" weapons all the way up to & including .50 Barrett. Been on weekend jaunts that include some JSOC type guys and revolved around shooting a collected variety of modern weapons & accessories that would make any Seal Team proud. But I have never shed the uneasy feeling that it's not really in the best interest of this country that this kind of firepower is so readily available.

I'm certainly a 2nd A kind of guy and can't even answer what I think the litmus test should be for who does & doesn't (except for the obvious) get to own these guns but it's an escalation of sorts that bothers me. It REALLY bugs me when owners of these types of guns complain about the militarization of our police forces.

But damn, they sure are fun to shoot.

I understand that thought process.. I can't speak to why some would be bothered by the militarization of police departments, but I know why it doesn't bother me.. If I am asking the PD to keep me safe, they need to be able to do that. It infuriates me when I see LEO's walk into a trap and get ambushed with automatic weapons, which NO civilian needs.. I get collecting, etc..

However, the one thing all should remember, we have a right to bear arms.. It was given to us for a reason.. Most people think the constitution is a tool to limit the people, it's the exact opposite of that.. The constitution is in place to limit the power of GOVERNMENT over the people.. One thing I tell people who are anti 2nd amendment, and there are a lot of them.. I always tell them that there are a lot of lawful firearms owners in this country.. Hundreds of millions of firearms are owned legally.. We aren't your problem, if we were, you'd know it immediately..

Yup. One more sign to me that factions of this country have totally gone off the deep end.

Gaarunfreeakintee that the same idiots that made that decision would lose their minds if it was demanded that guns be removed from their kid's (or likely their own) Call of Duty game. AND wouldn't understand the irony.

Get a glock 19 with night sights. I bought my first glock (a glock 17 gen 3) about 14 yrs ago. The gun has never hiccupped. When you break down a glock for cleaning is when you come to realize how well it's made. Anything made in Austria is superior to anything made anywhere else IMO.

Glock 19, 23 either are excellent choices. I would also recommend the Glock 48 also..Hard to beat those weapons at any cost..

Very reliable. Not super expensive. Long history of being reliable. Highly customizable.

If you could only buy one handgun, that'd be the one to get.
