I think lots of labels are lost in interpretation, some dude who says he speaks English gets the job of wording the label and gets it all twisted. I once saw "please follow instructions before reading"

Requirement of Proposition 65, requiring any chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm to provide warnings.
California has their own OSHA, OEHHA and other agencies that have more stringent requirements than Federal mandates.
They’re very strict in some aspects and liberal in many others. You can take a crap in the street but must put a warning label on the detergent to clean it up.
      Confusing at times, isn’t it?

One of the few things I like about Ca. The number of things we come in contact with that other countries ban is amazing. Now this may be over the top, but I don't mind it, it allows me to make an informed decision.

I guess the issue is, there is such variation, what is banned in one place, is in common use somewhere else! A classic example "Old Bay" seasoning was banned for decades here, I have no idea what was in it that was not allowed here, but in the last year, it's available, so......did Old Bay change the recipe, or are we all going to die now? I think it's kind of sad that the world has gone stupid enough to even need these labels and warnings.

Old Bay is all over the place in the states, has been since I was a kid. I have consumed a bunch of it in my life..

Yep, I have a friend who moved here from Virginia, and used to get some sent over, but years ago it was banned because it had something in it not allowed here, but recently, the ban was lifted but I don't use it now anyway, but I might get some again just for a change.

Things Ca. should put warning lables on are toothpaste and tap water with fluoride.

Fluoride is rat poison, why would you ingest poison? Sure you don't swallow much of it, but while brushing 2 to 3 times a day it's being absorbed into your teeth, gums, cheeks, tongue etc.

              Fear mongering.

If you look thru the fine print on packaging, product info, assembly instructions, etc there is almost nothing non-food you can buy that doesn't have Prop65 warnings. It's just silly, stupid and counterproductive if there really was any concern.

I have always wondered tho.... do EV's, solar panels, and things like windmill blades come with Prop65 warnings on them??? Naaah, probably not.
