That's my nightmare. Sharks hate me. They must have thought I was in the boat.

Never seen that. Wrong time to be the "little one".

Saw a similar thing here many years ago, just a couple of miles offshore, hundreds of Hammerheads (about 5' long) just going crazy over something, no idea what, there was nothing visible that they might be feeding on, the frenzy went on for a few minutes, then they just disappeared, no idea what they were up to.

Were they eating or mating? Could have been a shark orgy.

Funny as it sounds, I saw some manatees having an “orgy” once. It was I think 5 males and 1 female. The water w was just exploding. I never imahgined they could move like that

                  Maybe this was something similar

I read somewhere it was a feeding frenzy of tuna, idk for sure though.

On a side note, I was told that sharks will flee an area if they smell shark blood in the water. I'd love doing an experiment one day. If ever in a bunch of shark like this, catch one, gut it and toss them over the side to see if it dispenses the sharks.

I can tell you with 100% certain, they will quite happily eat their own kind, bleeding or not!
