    Air show crash/ NOT GOOD!

    Anyone heard what they suspect was the cause? I'm guessing medical emergency of the P 63 pilot.

    From what I read and understand the B17 was in the under wing blind spot of the P63. As big as the plane was he just never saw it.

        People at the event said, "It looked like the P 63 flew out of formation. IDK, just passing on what I've heard.

          On that second video, just prior to impact I count 7 aircraft in the picture. Couple of possibles. The P63 was trying to join up in formation with someone other than the B17, or they were doing simulated escort/dogfighting around the B17 like they did during WWII. In either case, they never saw each other. Just my guess.

          I’m hearing one pilot was a United 787 captain, 2 others retired American pilots.

          I think there were another 2-3 individuals in the B17.

            I have to admit ignorance to general aviation. Outside of the military and airline flying, I have 10 hours in a PA-44 getting my ATP license.
