I think they forgot to roll in some resin around that area. Wonder what else they forgot?

    And then, the fight started.

Can't help with this. Sure looks like crappy layup. Serious dock rash.

Truck rash. Or so they say.
        Dry as hell.

Serious question, did they not roll resin, and it firmed up before wetting out?
If it is infact who I think it is, not enough quality workers among other things.

        The "Marketing" is truly amazing.
Who/what decides what "Top Tier" is?

Marketing & people buying into the hype - and it's not limited to boats.

Sorta related - composite bike frames have the exact same issues. The marketing is pure genius - the bikes look shiny and fast on the outside, but the layup and tolerances are horrible - and the cost can be 5k+ just for a frame.

Fancy cushions and gizmo's catch people's eye - where the real part of what makes a bote a bote, or a bike a bike, is hidden from view.

          People buy bling.

What did he run into? yellow steel I-beam in Biscayne National Park? And wow, the deck layup guy probably doesn't work there anymore. Even the hull layup looks like %rap.

Trucker bringing boat down from "Up North" said he was ""Sideswipped".

I wonder how much of the hull sides and topside flexed in when he "brushed up" against that object. Any cracks away from the damage? Any interior issues?

Never got that far. But, she sure looks squishy. Iffin we get to grinding I will fill in the blanks.
Prospective customer is trying to wrap his head around time and how he can have his bote before T-Day.
              Nope.

What is this boating in late November you speak of? lol
If the layup is overly dry, I wonder how far you need to sand/grind out to get to a good repair starting point?
