A friend of mine pre wired and set a foundation in a closet for an elevator when they built. 10 years later they had one installed 3'X3.5' it works great especially on grocery shopping day.

The main reason for having it is for the grocery shopping, wife will back in under the house (I'll have to teach her how to do that) and unload the shopping on the lift, then it goes straight up to the pantry.

Might pay to put some steel post by those house supports, so she "learns" and it only cost you one one thing to fix (Car) as opposed to knocking the house down. (Hopefully she doesn't' read this site, my apologies in advance if she does. :-)).

Hey OP, what is the thickness of those roofing sheets? 1/2", 5/8"? 3/4" must cost a fortune today.

It's 9 feet above the pad, yeah the view is nice, would be better if I could take the pines down on the bluff but erosion could be a problem if we did that.

Definitely agree with that!! Root structure is so important in keeping bluff from washing. Maybe trim them back a tad? Still going to be fabulous regardless

Framers are finished, meeting with the builder on Wednesday to discuss the next steps .
It looks bigger now it's cleaned up some.
