  • Finally after one year!

It’s been 322 days since Hurricane Ida took our grocery store. This storm was the 4th time we have lost our store. We discussed not rebuilding but my nephew want to reopen. As he told me, this is my heritage that was handed down from Paw Paw (my dad). My nephew whom is also a partner in our grocery store took on the challenge of rebuilding our store. All credit for our store’s appearance goes to mostly him but also my brother. Tomorrow we will open our doors to the community again. Here are a few pictures before the storm, the day after the storm and from the friends and family gathering tonight to celebrate our reopening. I can’t wait to see the many people that have shopped with us for years. These people have become family to us. Thank you to all those who reached out to us and prayed for us. This is my dad and my youngest grandson. My nephew had our local government officials dedicate my parents names to our building as the official suite for the complex we are in.

I don't see any pictures, but I have an eye exam today. Maybe it's me!

If the first time you open is the Grand Opening, then this must be the Glorious Opening!
                Congratulations!
