Is is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of Tori/Tizzle today.
I met "Tori" first on TOS and then here at BoB, and finally in person at the PB FWC Shooting Complex. She is the one who told me about the place, and I met her there just after it opened. I think that was June/July 2020. I was green, and she was a shooter of the .22 pistols. Damn good too. I was at the rifle side, but I would go shoot pistols with her. Eventually, she got a Ruger .22LR and joined me at the 100yrd side. We shot most every weekend. Tori was a gentle giant, 6'2" I think? Soft spoken and shy.
She liked the range and was friends with the R.O's there. I kept trying to get her to get a "bigger" rifle and she said she didn't want to hurt her shoulder.
We had chats, and she told me about the cancer.
Sometime this year she showed up with a .223 Savage, at that point, I knew. Anyway, she learned to shoot it, and damn well, just before things got bad, we took it out to 300yrds, I think she posted that here, wasn't long after that she stopped going, she couldn't do the drive. She was in and out of the hospital, then went home. Last I heard from her was May 3rd. I had been getting updates from a friend.
Vicky, nice shooting with you. Please be pain free where you go.
