Why do manufacturers put a 4x4 sticker or medallion on the trucks if they are 4x4?

      Helps the sales guy 😀
Not only 4WD, but AWD usually get you an emblem on the back.

Certain places in CO every other vehicle is a Subie with a Biden/Coexist/Wacky Leftist bumper sticker on it.

I debadge mine..also take off any type of lettering that's not bolted on. 3M wheel and Goo Gone. I save the lettering if a future owner wants to put it back on.

I almost always take the dealer sticker, vanity plate trim, whatever. Off the truck. Why give them
            their advertising for free?

Last truck I bought, I left it on

It was a rural Ford dealer.
I kinda liked the small town name on the truck.
            The sticker was generic font.
And they actually dealed with me.

I went to Brandon Ford first. They are number 1/2 F series dealer in the country. Big volume discounts they said.
They would deal for shi*. Gave me the lowest value on my trade, their pricing wasn’t discounted at all. I walked out.

Somewhere, sometime, somebody, thought 4X4 looked cooler than 4WD.
          AWD, well, that's just sad.
