They've "tried" before. The most famous of all street circuits..Monte Carlo.. is hard to drive in a street car. But it has history. Street circuits are notoriously narrow, rough, fairly slow. F1 can't touch the walls or they are toast. It's about selling tickets and advertising, not racing.

I don't know. I think the street racing is better for spectating and more interesting because of the obstacles.
But I used to race offroad buggies and motocross. Obstacles are a way of life.

Fi is the ultimate sportscar racing. Aerodynamics is a huge element. Over 100 mph or so they can race on the ceiling from the downforce. Remember Dallas? So much grip they destroyed the improvised track. The cars are fragile and have little suspension. Spectating watching a half assed race, yes.

I imagine they'll have a different way of proving their wokeness by then

Maybe they will use the Homestead track.

                    I thought F1 was a street race?
They used to do it downtown.

Yea. Thought about that. Homestead has a decent infield track. Some curbing and runoff and it's possible. Historically, FIA seldom interacts with Nascar though.

I think they said it is around the Hard Rock Stadium. I imagine we’ll go unless we have an event of our own. F1 racing is kind of boring, but the cars are awesome.

That would be a VERY liberal use of "In Miami".
                            Miami Gardens? West Miama?

Track should be at least 2 miles. Capable of close to 200 mph top end, Nothing under 50 mph. Aerodynamics is a huge factor.

Visibility! Most important. Gotta sell tickets to the fans. That's why Homestead would be perfect.

It's a business. Sell sell sell.
