Ran the snowblower in my driveway at 530 this am 15 degrees, 2 ft snow drift in front of my garage; blowing 20 mph out of the north, -10 chill factor; Yesterday it started out at 60 degrees at about 2am and was down to 12 last night; gotta love northern Ohio Cleveland Boat show starts Thursday and the prediction is to warm up into the high 30's to low fifties by Sunday so should help attendance

                              Jim,. Stll at IX?

For those that dont know the IX Center in Cleveland it's quite a place
Tanks were built in the bldg during WWII
Bldg has a ferris wheel in it
Once while the boat show was going on there was a Home how happening next door and a home was being built inside the hall
                              It's really quite a facility

                              BUT....................................

Erie Skippers part of the country is uncivilized during the winter
I've attended the show when all the automobiles in the parking garage at the motel had to be towed and thawed out before they would start.
The parking lot at IX has been the worlds largest ice skating rink on more than one occasion

Having to do with nothing at all, I also enjoyed the Milwaukee show also in the dead of winter
Usually having attended boat shows forever I've learned most of the time to not eat overpriced boat show concession food
One year I was hungry and broke my own rule and bought a bowl of soop which was an absoluely excellant soup, very-very-good soop
The concession was run by some grandmother types and when I commented and ordered my second bowl of soup the very delightful silver haired lady told me very proudly that they made the soup, that it was made by the delightful ladies at the concession
Never seen anything like that before and never seen it again but what a nice experiance that was

Yep, IX still up and running. This year the fairly well known American/Canadian Sportsman Show will be combined with us The show is only Thurs-Sunday for the first time. Both shows standing alone used to be 10 days each---the IX center has done this to themselves as square footage cost has ski rocketed along with ticket costs and so on. Add that to no money from manufacturers to assist with show costs and you get a four day show instead.
