  • Welcome - About the Site

Welcome to www.BandOfBoaters.com - the only boating website where industry authorities are hand picked by their peers to offer you advice on your boat. The purpose of this website is to provide you, the boater, with the very best advice possible. What better way to do that than to have the most knowledgeable people in the industry select and nominate other knowledgeable industry leaders to participate on this forum to answer your questions. You can be assured to get good advice. We are all about Quality of content, not Quantity. BandOfBoaters.com Vendors will have a designation next to their name so you know who they are. Anybody is welcomed to answer questions though as there are lots of boaters with deep knowledge on various subjects.

This site is not all business though. You can have fun too. We have a great section called the Boaters Forum where you can jaw all day about your boat. If you want to get a little off topic then try out the s Quarters where the BS can fly. We also offer a great Classifieds section as well for boats, new gear and used.

We hope you enjoy your stay. And remember, internet forums are only as good as their members so please get involved.

Looks like an interesting forum, a bit different from some others that are all user generated content without really knowing who to trust. I welcome having a solid set of sources to refer to, even if the board is not the most active in comparison. Love the Quality over Quantity approach!

The activity will grow as people join. We are getting more members day by day. We like to have fun here, but good fun. We believe that we have people that give good quality unbiased advise.
Yes, there are those of us who prefer one product over another, it still doesn't mean we will bash the other product.
We look forward to all new members and their input.

wow found all of you guys, good to see you guys again.

I have a comment to make about the name of the forum, it has nothing that relates it to marine or boating, will make it hard to google if you've never heard about it, just thinking in the success of this forum.

Hi all of you. I am a new here and want to learn new things about Boats and traveling. I am very happy to be a part of this community. It is my goodness that I will share here my experience and read other experiences.
By the way, I will ask her that I can share everything other than boating because I am a big lover of nature, historical and landmark places. I also bit interest in adventurous places.

              Sea Hawk;
Currently it is by word of mouth/keyboard. that means slow growth. I don't know that changing the name now will do much good. What we do need to do it promote it more.
I'll talk to the big chiefs. :-)

                  What's wrong with nudity?
Now, I don't have any wish to see Jim (Erie Skipper) in the nude, nothing like that but ruling out nudity across the board?
There should be exceptions to that I think

The reason things are more simple on THT is because there's a lot of people there with a third grade mentality so stuff has to be made easier maybe.
There's some guys on there I know pretty well that can just barely read and write.

I do agree with one portion in that I have a tough time with the PM'S
I cant seem to get a handle on that but as far as opening a new topic, that's not a big challenge I don't think.

                          BTW
Anyone no how to actovate spelle chek?

That one confounds me also. Sometimes it works, and sometimes not.
