I never met the man, built a nice bunch of botes.
Devastating news for the company and his family.

        RIP
Thanks for posting, I had the privilege of talking to him dozens of time, he laughed when I told him I was the BluewaterPoser online!

Mike Carrigan introduced me to him at one of the shows. Very pleasant gentleman to talk with.
Told me he used to wire switch panels at his desk while returning calls.

Naked Lady ranch...air park west of town. Engine was sputtering as the plane approached. Another boating personality crashed there...Mickey Rupp ran out of fuel in his P51 Mustang.

My buddy down the street new him first name basis. He also bought a 23' Bluewater years ago. Great ride...like my blackfin. Then I realized it WAS my Blackfin hull. Both copied the 23' Formula hull!

“when the throttle is pushed forward and the boat takes life and knifes across the ocean under perfect control,
this was so beautiful it stopped my breath….. and then I looked back at the wake”

As a stalker-poser, I would stop by the shop and stay out of the workers way and just observe, why else would I have hundreds of photos.

Anyway, Paul would be helping any worker with a hand if needed and I was stay in the background and he was a hands in owner as much as Ole is with his employees.
                          Yes, I've seen it!

I saw Paul performing a pre delivery shine under the cowling on a boat released for transport, impressive.

I was by no means best friends with Paul but he was genuinely good guy, even if he had Mike working sales for him for awhile.

I told him about Mike's truck driving adventures, he said let me know where he is so I can avoid the road he is on

Anyway, it hurt to read the report about his being conscious and the fire kept the rescuers from removing him from the plane.
It's sad so know dwelling on his final moments!

You were a great biat builder!
                          RIP
