    You sure about that 24/7/365 Emergency number?
    I had that for years and was I glad to get rid of it. Those 3:00am calls were brutal and when I would send the bill for saving their ass at 3am they would always argue them.

    Sure hope you’re not going to be the 24/7 contact (suppose you’re using a service) and will have some guys on call?
    How do you keep a shop guy from drinking on the weekend?
    Unless it’s 24/7 call but not necessarily immediate dispatch.
    I think it’s a great idea once ya work through the kinks!!

      I wonder if this can be tied into the discount you get for having a "captain maintained" vessel? (I have no idea how any of that works)... But pretty nice!

          Within the last couple of months we/I have had MULTIPLE service calls, etc to high end estates with Managers, etc.Wanting me to teach them how to do this stuff.
          I already deal with select clientele on the weekends, nights, etc. Might as well get paid for it.
          People want my number, I'll tell them flat up front, don't call me, text me, I will answers or return the call. Don't call. I won't answer.
          But, if you need me, I will return the call.

            Theres a large demand in your market, but Will yards/dockages that also offer service allow you access?

            Speaking of that we operate at a diassvantage because we play by the rules and it cost alot of money for insurance, most of the yards want 2mm umbrella, that jacks it up a bunch.
            Most of the other folks that do what we do don't carry that and slide in.

              We do that, each and every time.
              Takes time and planning to get the binder from the agent. I don't see how the other places/people do it. The hoop's we jump through with estimates, Insurance, detailed Invoices, protection, etc. I don't see how they do it.

              Great idea to have a boat management program. I know of a couple companies up here that do it. Seems like it can generate a nice income and with PY’s reputation I don’t think you’ll have any issues getting customers.
