Sans will tell ya, he’s in the Industrial Lift Business
My Daddy was and I loved seeing how fast I could get some of the Clark IT 40’s & 60’s going in the yard. Was just a kid but sure seemed to haul ass to me, now realize I’d of done some major damage if I ever connected with anything.
Every time I got caught they put me on steam cleaner…….which was fairly often

Most forklifts will run around 11.8 mph. One time I had to repossess a big Nissan 9,000lb capacity diesel down in Bartow. My salesman didn't warn me about the owner of the company and I went in to either pick up a check or the forklift. When I told the secretary who I was and what i was there for, she looked at me like I was crazy and said wait here. A minute later this 6'7" probably 280lb guy came around the corner and lit into me. Telling me he would pay me when he was damn good and ready and I wasn't taking nothing. He kept poking me in the chest as I was backing up to the door and when I got there he pushed me out and slammed it shut.
I went out to my driver and told him to go 3 blocks down the road and put the bed on the ground. I drove across the street to a 7/11 and waited. At 10am everybody went on break. I walked across the street, jumped on the forklift and took off for the gate. Half way there I see this big SOB come out the door at a full run. The forklift went 11.8mph and I swear that guy was running at 11.7mph. He chased me all the way past my flatbed and was so pissed I don't think he even saw it. When I passed my driver I thought his eyes were going to fall out of his head. I hollered follow me on my way by. That guy chased me 5 blocks before he ran out of steam and I kept going another 2 just to make sure.
When my driver went to drop me off at the 7/11 he was so scared he refused to stop. I had to jump off the running board in the middle of Hwy60 to get back to my truck.
I just bought a new property for my Rack division. Second day we are there unloading trucks from my main warehouse and one of my guys backs a forklift into a light pole. He hit it so hard the light came off the pipe holding it out and is now dangling by the wires. I was driving a forklift next to him when he did it. I saw him going back and thought "no way, he isn't really going to hit it." BAMM!
