Yes it does' because that's where the power lies
The U.S.Of A is hungry for news
We're very focused on immediate news
It's viewed by some that the various news medias are biased one way or the other and those opinions reign strong with our citizens

Remember what turned the tide against the Viet Nam war so fast and drastically?

Joseph Goebbels did a pretty good job of keeping the German people informed as to how he wanted them so

And if you really wish to go back some I was taught as a young man that the folks that wrote the Bible got a little colorful as to their news reporting.
I was taught that by some Catholic Priests so dont get mad at me for using that example

Fact is that the news has always had some bias and knew how to push the buttons with the public they wished to push and that carried thru to today

You ain't kidding. I watched a few minutes of a press conference and one reporter asked the most idiotic question I think anyone could have asked. " Do you think Jason Aldean could have done more to warn the crowd of the shooting"

Left me speechless.

Fact is that the masses today, like the masses thruout time are and have been controlled by the media

Mr Fidel came to power much because he knew how to manipulate the media and did it so well that the American public was convinced he was some sort of Robin Hood and the U.S. Of A suspended arms shipments to Batista and brought uncle Fidel to power
His "army" was imagined
He didn't have one
He did eventually get one and much of that was due to a very skillful manipulation of the media
