India is already trying to implement this but its for medical reasons. It is the future and I don't like it. However people will fall in line because we will be forced into it. The new world order is pretty much happening especially since the mishandling of covid.

Typical government lies, “ this will make your life so much easier”
Ya sure, easier for them to track what you do( more so then they already do) and ultimately to control what you can and cannot do.

suprised they lay down and roll over so quickly.

Sorry, just saw this, I recently renewed my drivers license and part of the form you fill out included a "tick box" to receive your "ID" for free while doing your license. I did not tick the box, but, in a way, "they" already have details on you via your license, medical card, voting details, tax office (similar to your social security number) and probably a dozen other means, I personally don't see it as a big deal, but don't really see the need. When you go overseas you need to complete much the same thing, including a photo, not too sure if it will get off the ground or just fizzle out.

Can't see what difference an ID card makes, everyone walks around with a tracking device in their pocket anyway.

Yes, that's more or less how I see it, we all have lots of ways "big brother" can know who we are and what we are doing. Not too sure an official ID makes any sense.

I always have location turned off on my phone. Don't know if it matters or not, but at least I don't get a bunch of stupid notifications from places wanting me to eat or shop there...
