  • Tampa Bay yesterday

We headed out and he wanted to sabiki bait I wanted to castnet.
    So I let him.
he got distracted on the Spanish mackerel cutting him off so I let him keep trying

lots of bait though. But deep16’. My net couldn’t sink fast enough.
we had shrimp and frozen dines so we moved to the snapper spot.
caught some right quick. He loaded 3 keepers
    then nada.
    moved around.
tried some new areas at his request.
    caught some sand trout.
    came home with dinner.
not a stellar day, but with the wind and current not cooperating it was ok

heres the best part of having a kid! ;-P

            Looks like good times.

You need to buy that kid an anchor ball. Drive past the anchor, once it comes up into the ball turn around and drive back to it while he is easily pulling in the rope. Easiest thing short of a windlass.
